Benjamin T. Hinckfoot is in his fourth season at Concordia University Irvine and his second as recruiting coordinator.
In his first three seasons, Hinckfoot's athletes earned acclaim in the sprint and hurdle events at both the conference and national level.
In 2019, he coached Concordia track & field superstar Tamia Prince to three NCAA Outdoor Qualifying marks and an All-American finish. In 2020, she earned All-American finish in the 60m hurdles. Most recently, he coached Malia Avila and Prince to the 2020 USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.
The Concordia sprinters and hurdlers have enjoyed numerous school records under his care. The women's team has set five indoor records and six outdoor records. The men have broken one indoor record and two outdoor.
Prior to CUI, Hinckfoot coached and taught high school for three years at The Classical Academy in Colorado Springs, Colo.
In 2014, Hinckfoot graduated from Concordia University Nebraska with a Bachelor of Science in secondary education. He completed his Master of Science in coaching and exercise science from CUI in 2019.
He lives in Costa Mesa, Calif. and loves to run, surf, listen to Blink-182 and read historical fiction.
