Home to the Concordia men's and women's water polo teams, the William Woollett Jr. Aquatics Center is one of the premier aquatic complexes in the country. Located about 10-12 minutes from Concordia's main Turtle Rock campus, Woollett is close to the 5 and 405 freeways.

With the use of two 50 meter pools and one multi-use pool, the historic facility was built to attract some of the swimming world's most elite competitions. A planned renovation that includes expansion with an additional 50-meter pool is projected to be done by the summer of 2025,
according to a story by the Orange County Register.
Â
The CUI water polo teams have some home games scheduled in the afternoons but have added more weekday and Saturday night games in recent years. The facility can house approximately 700 people for one game and has the ability to house as many as 4,000 for special events.
The CUI men's water polo squad plays in the fall semester while the women compete in the spring. Both programs are part of the WWPA (Western Water Polo Association) after the women joined that league in the summer of 2025 after previously playing in the GCC (Golden Coast Conference).

Since it's renovation in 2004, the Woollett Aquatic Center has played host to several major competitions including USA Swimming National Championships on numerous occasions between 2005 and 2018. Woollett has hosted the USA Water Polo National Junior Olympics in 2015 and also hosted the 2010 Pan Pacific Swimming Championships.
During the 1984 Olympics, the historic venue even hosted the swimming portion of the modern pentathlon event.
Â
It was also the home to the Mutual of Omaha's Dual in the Pool which faced off two of the world's swimming power houses, the United States vs. Australia. It is renamed after the City of Irvine's first City ManagerÂ
