Golden Eagles Stadium (Softball)

Since 2023, the Concordia University Irvine softball program has proudly called Golden Eagles Stadium its home. Located in the heart of campus on the site of the program’s original field, the new stadium pairs state-of-the-art upgrades with a legacy of championship success.

The facility offers permanent seating for 500 fans, a full sound system, and stadium cameras to enhance the game-day atmosphere. Newly constructed dugouts feature private restrooms in the home dugout, and both home and visiting teams have access to dedicated bullpens. The playing surface was completely upgraded with fresh outfield grass, an improved warning track and infield dirt, a modern irrigation and drainage system, and a padded outfield fence for enhanced safety and playability.

Golden Eagles Stadium is home to one of the most decorated programs in CUI athletics history, including the 2013 NAIA National Championship, ten conference titles, and multiple NCAA Regional and Super Regional appearances.

Beyond the left-field fence, an indoor hitting and pitching facility provides year-round training space, equipped with three hitting lanes and two pitching lanes ensuring the Golden Eagles can prepare in any weather. Currently the area behind Golden Eagles Stadium is undergoing renovations to include our newest project “Vision 2025”. Vision 2025 includes an extensive renovation and expansion of the CU Center, as well as the construction of the new Golden Eagles Fitness & Training Center (GEFT).
