Ashley Evans starred for the Concordia softball team from 2004-2007, and was the second three-time All-GSAC selection in program history.
Hailing from Aliso Viejo, CA and Aliso Niguel High School, the outfielder received her bachelor’s in history from Concordia in 2009 and is the fourth all-time selection from the softball program to the Concordia University Athletics Alumni Hall of Fame.
She was selected All-GSAC in 2004, 2006, and 2007. Evans was a GSAC Scholar-Athlete and NAIA Scholar-Athlete in 2006. She was tabbed All-Region II in 2004 and 2006. Her teams advanced to the NAIA Region II Playoffs in 2004 and 2005, and the NAIA National Championship Quarterfinals in 2006 with a 45-19 record.
She set the precedent in the softball record books and currently ranks third in at-bats with 686, third in hits with 247, third in triples with 18, third in stolen bases with 55, fourth in runs scored at 145, and fifth in doubles with 37. Her seven triples in 2004 still rank first all-time and her 21 stolen bases in 2007 is fifth on the single-season lists.
After Graduation

Evans is in her first season as the head coach at Capistrano Valley High School and recently became engaged to Jay Pyron.
