Genevieve earned her undergraduate degree in 1993 and became a missionary in Japan with her husband Brad. In 2002 she returned to Concordia to earn her teaching credential and in the process, joined the CUI Track & Field team with her final season of eligibility. She went on to cement her place in history with two NAIA Individual National Championships that year, setting eight school records. Graff-Ermeling finished her career as a school-record eight-time All-American and a three-time All-American Scholar Athlete.

Currently, Graff-Ermeling is working towards her MA in Education and is teaching at Orange Lutheran High School. She continues to run, having qualified in 2004 for the Olympic trials in the 1500m. She lives in Tustin with her husband Brad.
