Concordia traveled this past weekend to La Verne, CA on Saturday September 12^th to compete in the Inland Empire Classic. The Eagles went head to head against Occidental College and the University of La Verne.  The first match of the day was against the Tigers of Occidental College. The Eagles defeated the Tigers with a final score of 11-7.  Jaime Saunders kept CUI in the running by having four saves in the 2^nd and 3^rd quarter. Julian Myers and Rhett Turvey had a strong offensive match scoring two for the Eagles.
 
Later that day CUI splashed back into the pool to competing against the Leopards from University of La Verne.  Although it was a hard battle the Leopards defeated the Eagles with a score of 6-8. Matthew Lange scored two goals in the first quarter to give CUI the lead up until the second quarter where the leopards scored five of their eight goals for the day. Concordia responded in the third and forth quarter with players Rhett Turvey, Santiago Rodriguez and Julian Myers scoring, but it wasn't enough to finish the match. 
 
The Eagles are back in the pool September 26^th-27^th where they will travel to Davis, CA to compete against UC Davis in the Aggie Round up tournament.
