The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles, back in the D2SIDA West Region Poll at #10 this week,  

By the Numbers:  Geoff Gerlach recorded a double-double for CUI with 10 points and 11 rebounds.  JT Roach scored 23 off the bench with five threes.  Martin Thomas and Justin Davis had four assists. 

The Difference:  CUI scored 15 points off turnovers and 16-7 in second-chance points.

Critical Plays:  Geoff Gerlach paced CUI early with two layups.  After a Hawk three, JT Roach hit one to keep CUI within one and another trey put CUI ahead two, 15-13.  Justin Davis nailed a contested fade away to give CUI the 26-18 lead with five left in the first half.  The Hawks got within four, but Roach hit a three-point play to push it back to eight.  HNU trailed 34-28 at the half.  HNU slowly crept back in the game, cutting to 40-38 six minutes into the second half.  A layup from Gerlach pushed it back to five two minutes later.  The next six minutes were very slow with both teams getting into bonus.  Roach hit a three and Davis made a free throw for the 58-50 CUI lead with four minutes left.  The Hawks hit a three to make it 61-56 CUI with 30 seconds left.  The Hawks got within two, but CUI took the 65-62 win. 

What it Means:  The Eagles finish the home stand 14-3 and 7-2 in the PacWest.
