Women's Soccer Battles to a tie vs. BYU - Hawaii

Box Score The Concordia Women's Soccer team battled for 110 minutes against BYU-Hawaii, but left with a 1-1 draw.
Natalie Werner netted the first goal of the game, burying a free kick in the first quarter. The Seasiders responded minutes later when Mackenzie Bean assisted Sydney Eddy to even the score.
The Eagles and Seasiders remained scoreless through two overtime periods.
Concordia took 14 shots on goal, five of which came from the foot of McKenna Carrillo. Keeper Jazmin Alvarez saved six of the Seasiders' 19 shots. Â
In their previous match, the Eagles edged out the Hawaii Pacific Sharks 2-1. Despite falling behind, Concordia caught up with a Lizette Luna goal. Carrillo's shot from the left side snuck through the keeper's hands to give the Eagles the win.
The Eagles are now 3-0-2 in the PacWest and 7-0-3 overall. Concordia cracked the top 25 Hero College Sports News' national rankings, securing the 8th spot.
Concordia leads the PacWest in fewest goals allowed, only letting five through on the year.
The Eagles return to the field at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday against Chaminade University (2-3-1). Concordia concludes its time in Hawaii at 4 p.m. on Saturday with the Vulcans of Hawaii – Hilo (0-3-3).
