Irvine, CA - The Men's Soccer team put on a scoring show Saturday, defeating the Vulcans of Hawai'i - Hilo 5 - 1. 

Concordia's catalyst came early when Eric Torres' successful shot from the top of the box scored in the 12th minute. 

Connor Gordon's stand out performance started with an assist to Isaac Gettis, and continued with one more to Ether BustosGordon wasn't done for the night.

He and Bustos switched roles in the 41st minute, this time Bustos laying off the assist for a Gordan goal. The Junior forward followed up with a penalty kick to make the score 5-0 only five minutes in to the second half. 

Jordan Brinkley nearly notched his seventh shut out, but Jake Sagami netted his fourth goal of the season in the 70th minute. Brinkley had three saves and has the most shut outs of any keeper in the PacWest (6). 

The victory over the Vulcans concluded the teams tour of Hawai'i with 3-1 record.

Thursday, the Eagles got their only loss of the four game stretch to Chaminade University. 

The Eagles jumped out to a lead in the 37th minute when Torres scored his first goal of the season on a cross from Bustos

Micah Mokulehua evened things out, knocking in one of his four shots on goals on a cross from Yoshinori Tamuki. 

Things remained even until the Silverswords captured the lead with only six minutes remaining. Tamuki grabbed his second assist of the game, passing one off to Guiherme Aires. 

Pressure was nearly even in the first half, with 8 shots from the Eagles and 9 from Chaminade. In the second half, things shifted and the Eagles were out shot 8-2. 

Brinkley stopped six attempts from Chaminade and opposing keeper Bernd Buedcherhoff saved four. 

At 5-2, the Eagles are in tied for second with Notre Dame de Namur in the PacWest. 

Concordia returns to action at 1 p.m. on Thursday at Concordia against Dominican University of California.
