Box Score
LAIE, Hawaii – Concordia closed out another road win with an efficient 3-0 sweep of BYU-Hawaii last night at the Cannon Activities Center.  Set scores were 25-21, 25-23, 25-19.

Rachel Flynn led the Eagles (18-2, 9-2 PacWest) with 15 kills while setter Morgan Nunley helped guide the offense with 23 assists. Taylor Dennison anchored the CUI defense with a remarkable 22 digs.

The Seasiders and the Eagles went back and forth to start the first set.  The final tie came at 18-18 at which point Concordia created some separation behind kills from Flynn and Hannah Andrews enroute to the four point margin of victory.

The Seasiders jumped out to a quick 7-4 lead at the start of the second set but Concordia fought back to tie the score up at 10.  The two teams exchanged short runs to bring the score to 18-18 before BYU made its first push of the match scoring five of the next six points for a 23-19 lead. The Eagles responded under the pressure with one of their most significant runs of the season, turning an almost certain BYU-Hawaii win into an 0-2 deficit.  The closing 6-0 run was fueled by kills from Andrews, Amber Rose, and Cindy Tran.

Concordia built a 10-6 lead to start the third set. The Eagles had to hold off one more push from the Seasiders bringing the score to 14-12 before taking seven of the next nine points to open up an insurmountable 21-14 lead. Andrews and Tran once again powered the offensive barrage, with junior Kyra Auten adding two kills of her own, on the way to the 25-19 win.

The Eagles wrap-up their three-match road swing today with a 3 p.m. matinee at Chaminade University.  The Silver Swords (9-8, 3-5 PacWest) last played on Monday when they swept Hawaii-Hilo on the road.
