The Women's Volleyball Team only has one match scheduled for this weekend, but it is not just any game.

The Eagles are looking redemption in St. George, Utah on Sunday.  Dixie delivered Concordia not only its first loss of the year, but swept them (25-19, 25-21, 25-11). Dixie beat out the Eagles in aces (8-2) blocks (9-2) and digs (46-35).

5048The Dixie State Trailblazers have only dropped two confernece matches all year, both of which were in their last two games. They are 8-2 in conference going into the weekend, tied for third with Hawai'i Pacific. Before facing the Eagles, Dixie must first face first place Cal Baptist, who is 9-1.

Sunday's match up brings both teams together in their strongest settings. Concordia has not lost a road game all year, and the Trailblazers have only lost one in their house.

Concordia enters Sunday on a three-game winning streak. In its last two games, the team hasn't dropped a set.

Last week, the Eagles were led by stand out performances from Rachel Flynn and Taylor Dennison.

Flynn racked up 45 kills and 25 digs on a .252 hitting percentage to tag along with her sixth double-double. These numbers earned her PacWest Player of the Week.

In the back row, Dennison dug herself to PacWest Defender of the week. She had 66 digs, a whomping six digs per set average over the weekend. Dennison is sixth in digs in the PacWest and first an aces. Dennison has caused problems all year with her serve, dropping 42 in 76 sets.

The match starts at 11 a.m. on Saturday in St. George, Utah. Fans unable to attend can support the Eagles through live stats and video.
