The Women's Soccer team fought off teams all year to hold its undefeated record, even tying four matches. Despite its efforts, the team dropped its first game of the year in overtime Thursday against Dominican University of California.

The pain of the first loss was apparent. Players dropped to their knees, heads fell towards the ground and teammates embraced in each others' arms.

The Eagles defense fought the Penguins off until in the 63rd minute when Mariah Meza scored into the bottom left corner off of a pass frmom Lily Dubuc.

The overtime periods began with both teams fully invested. Although the temperatures were scorching all day, both teams' benches were on their feet and rallying to push the players through the extra time.

It all came to an end when Stephanie Pawek's pass through the middle connected with Rachel Stowell for a goal.
