The Concordia Eagles strung together their third consecutive win Tuesday night, defeating Biola 70-61 for the first home victory of the season.

Junior Sopavy Seng soared forthe Eagles, leading the team with 19 points, three assists and three rebounds

Concordia and Biola battled throughout the first quarter, but the Eagles established a lead after the 4-4 tie was broken on a three-pointer from Maddie Sulka.

Seng extended the lead with two free throws followed by a deep shot for three more.

Biola bounced back at the end of the first quarter, cutting the lead to three.

Freshmen Ugochi Anudokem started the second quarter for the Eagles with two consecutive lay ups for a five-point lead. Concordia closed out the second quarter with a 27-22 advantage.

Although Biola's shooting from the field was better by two percent, the Eagles made 4-15 three-point shots compared to Biola's 1-7. Each team shot 83.3 percent from the free throw line.

Biola came back in the third, evening the score at 43 a piece entering the final quarter.

In the last ten minutes of the game, Concordia's confidence and sharp shooting set them apart.

Gabby Johnson's layup gave Concordia a two-point lead, but Biola responded immediately with two of its own.

The momentum shifted instantly when Seng sunk a three-pointer with 6:01 to play.

Portia Neale netted a layup and Montana Walters continued the streak with three more to take a seven-point lead. Gabby Johnson's layup made the score 58-49.

Biola attempted to creep back into the game, but could never catch up to the Eagles. Walters scored seven points in the 2:26 of the game to close out the victory.

Walters and Neale each scored 10 points. Anudokem was 4-6 from the field with 12 rebounds and a block.

The 3-3 Eagles play in their first PacWest game of the year at 5:30 on Thursday at CU Arena in Irvine, Calif. against the APU Cougars.
