Concordia Women's Basketball tallied its first PacWest win Saturday afternoon, taking down the Trailblazers 89-78 in St.George, Utah.

The Eagles exposed their composure early on. After falling behind by six points five minutes into the game, Concordia flipped the script on the Trailblazers.

Zoe Scott-Goss's fast break for a layup started the surge, and Gabby Johnson jumped in with a free throw to cut the lead to three.

Montana Walters scored one of her six three-pointers on the night to tie the game at 14. The Eagles then extended on a seven point run before Dixie's Ali Frank snapped it with a three-pointer to end the period 21-17.

At the start of the second, Concordia almost let the Trailblazers catch up, but held on by one point until Walters worked up another three-point shot.

The Eagles allowed Dixie two more points before venturing on an eight point run to take the double digit lead. Dixie didn't let the Eagles end the period with all of the energy, fighting back to end the half down by only five.

Despite Dixie's efforts in the third, the Eagles commanded a 12-point lead going into the final quarter.

Johnson started off the fourth with the Eagles' first three points, and Judith Espinoza's layup with eight to play lifted Concordia up by 15. After this, the Trailblazers didn't get within 10 of the Eagles.

Sopavy Seng's jumper sealed the scoring of the night for the Eagles, claiming 89-78 victory.

Walters worked for the Eagles all night, scoring 22 total points and making 6 of 11 three-pointers. Johnson was just behind with 18 of her own and 10 rebounds. Espinoza scored double-digit points in her second consecutive game with 10 and six assists. Freshmen Ugochi Anudokem grabbed a team high of 12 rebounds.

The Eagles are now 1-1 in the PacWest and 4-4 on the year. Concordia comes home to CU Arena for a matchup against Fresno Pacific at 5:30 on Wednesday.
