This past Saturday on Feb. 6th the Concordia women's water polo team traveled to Whittier College in Whittier, CA to compete in the Whittier Mini Tournament. First match of the day was by the home team the Whittier Poets.  Cydney Eltiste was the leading scorer throughout the match scoring a goal in the 1st, 2nd and two goals in the 4th quarter. The other leading scorer for the match scoring in both the 3rd and 4th quarter was CUI's Kelsey Stumm having a total of five goals and was the leading offensive player for the second half of the match. Unfortunately it wasn't enough to defeat the Poets. The game ended with a score of 11-19.

Later that day the Eagles splashed back in the pool that afternoon to compete against the Claremont-Mudd-Scripps College. Players Justine Vasquez and Kelsey Stumm scored two in the 1st quarter starting the match strong for the eagles. The two teams competed hard going back and 4th but it wasn't enough to defeat CMS in the 4th quarter with opponent Gibbs scoring 3 more in the net. The Eagles lost with a score 5-9.

Concordia will be back in the pool on February 20th in La Verne, CA to compete against University of La Verne Leopards.
