CUI Advances To Consolation Final After Win Over Point Loma

The Rundown: The Concordia Eagles guaranteed a final day in 2016 by defeating Point Loma, 5-2, on Friday to advance to the Consolation Final tomorrow at the PacWest Championships in Surprise, AZ.
By the Numbers: PLNU took the first doubles match, but Ivana Vlakic and Kelsey Markle quickly squared things with an 8-3 win in #3 doubles. Johanna Keeline and Samantha Schuster gave CUI a 2-1 lead into singles with an 8-5 win in #2 doubles. PLNU tied the match at two winning #6 singles, but Schuster regained the advantage with a 6-2, 6-2 win at #4 singles. Andrea Madrigal then made it 4-2 at #2 singles with a 6-1, 6-2 winner.
The Difference: Keeline secured the win with a 6-2, 6-1 win at #5 singles over Nicole Camaratta.
What it Means: The Eagles improved to 8-10 and picked up their second win of the championships.
