The Concordia Women's Basketball Team dropped a game to a tough California Baptist team on Saturday by a score of 109-82.

A lay-up from Zoe Scott-Goss got things started as the Eagles struck first.  The two teams battled back and forth until the Lancers took their first lead of the game with 4:45 to go.  They would not lose the lead for the rest of the game.  The first quarter finished with a 24-17 Cal Baptist lead.

Montana Walters gave the Eagles a boost in the first-half, scoring 15 points off the bench.  Scott-Goss also had a strong start for the Eagles with five field goals.

Despite a powerful Lancer offense, including an impressive 30-point performance from Cassidy Mihalko, there were some bright spots for the Eagles.  Walters tallied 21 points, including five three-pointers and four free throws.  She had five assists, three steals and one block.  Scott-Goss contributed 15 points, Ugochi Anudokem had 12 and Annie Studdert had eight.  The Eagles shot 37.8 percent as a team and 58.1 percent from the free throw line where they made 18 of 31.  They fall to 6-8 overall and 4-4 in PacWest play.

The Eagles are back in action on Monday at 5:30 p.m. when they take on the Dixie State Red Storm in the CU Arena.
