Dufelmeier delivers to defeat Point Loma 92 -84

Box Score Concordia Men's Basketball defeated the Point Loma Sea Lions Saturday for a 92-84 road win. The victory over the Sea Lions was big for the Eagles, setting them at 6-4 in the PacWest and one game ahead of Point Loma (6-5). Concordia is now in fifth place with ten games to play.
Tad Dufelmeier was dialed in for the Eagles, scoring 24 points with six assists two steals and eight rebounds. He banked big points from three-pointers, making five of seven.
Senior Justin Davis scored 16 points with two steals and two assists. Cameron English was also in double digits for the Eagles, posting 10 points in his 18 minutes of play.
As a team, the Eagles shot 54.5 percent from the three-point range and snagged 11 steals.
English scored first for the Eagles on a jumper from Mike Mellinger. They then got their first lead of the game on a three-pointer from Davis. A Dufelmeier dunk quickly extended the lead to seven. The Eagles maintained the lead until the Sea Lions caught up at 20-20. Concordia came back and closed out the half with a six point lead on the shot from Mike Hauser.
Concordia did not relinquish its lead throughout the second half, despite pressure from Point Loma. In the final 42 seconds of the game, the Sea Lions sent two different Eagles to the line. Davis and Chambers each went two for two on their free throws to cap the game off with an eight point lead.
The Eagles, now 10-8 on the year return to CU Arena Jan. 26th to take on the Dominican University Penguins at 7:30 p.m.
