Box Score Irvine, Calif. -  It was a career night for junior outside hitter, Jonathan Predney, as he carried the Eagles to a 3-0 (31-29, 25-18, 25-17) sweep of McMaster University. The win was the team's first of the season and came against a Marauders team that was coming off of an upset against the reigning NCAA Division I national champions, the Ohio State Buckeyes.

Concordia as a whole played great in all three sets, but Predney stole the show with his season-high 15 kills, a hitting percentage of .609 and only one attacking error on the night. The junior also added four block assists, a couple of digs and an ace.

The Eagles also benefited from the solid performances of setter Chandler Gibb and middle blocker Alec Krilis. Gibb led both teams in assists with 27 and did his part on defense with 5 digs. Krilis was the most efficient player on the court, putting down six kills with an impressive hitting percentage of .857.

The CUI Men's Volleyball team finds itself with a record of 1-3, but aims to add on to its win streak as they head into the Cal Baptist Invitational tournament, starting Jan. 6th on the campus of Cal Baptist University. The Eagles will face St. Francis University at 10:00 AM in the first game of the tournament.
