The Concordia Eagles Women's Basketball team dropped a close game to the Hawaii-Hilo Vulcans on its last game on the Hawaiian road trip by a score of 76-73.

The Eagles seemed in control throughout the first half, fueled by Sopavy Seng's 28 points, 18 of which came from six three-pointers.  At 5:28 in the second the Eagles held a 15-point lead.  The first half ended with a 51-42 Concordia lead.

The Vulcans chipped away at the Eagle lead, cutting it to just two points by the end of the third quarter.  Going into the fourth quarter up by a score of 62-60, the Eagles and Vulcans traded points back and forth for several minutes.  In the end, Hawaii-Hilo was able to tame the Eagle offense, and the Eagles came up just three points short in a hard fought battle.

Seng ended the night with a season high 32 points off the bench.  She also hit a season high in three-pointers with seven, and free throws, going 7-14.  Gabby Johnson went 6-6 from the line.  The other Eagle to score in double digits was Annie Studdert who posted 11 points and grabbed eight rebounds.  As a team, the Eagles shot 39 percent and 61.5 percent from the free throw line.

The Eagles are back in action on January 14 in Riverside as they take on the California Baptist Lancers at 5 p.m., and return home on January 16 to take on the Dixie State Red Storm at 5:30 p.m. in the CU Arena.
