Brian Chambers has been a key player for the Eagles all year, providing point scoring play with a 10.9 point per game average. In Concordia's final game of the Hawaiian tour, Chambers challenged his offensive prowess and took control of the game with 25 points to seal a second straight win.

The victory over the Hawai'i Hilo Vulcans gives the Eagles a 5-2 PacWest record. Dixie State currently sits at the top at 7-1. The Trailblazers are followed by Cal Baptist and Hawai'i Pacific who both hold a 5-1 record.

Chambers was nine for 13 from the field and hit five of seven shots from the three-point range. He also added five rebounds and four steals. Even more impressive, Chambers scored 18 of his 25 points in the second half.

Senior Justin Davis delivered 14 points, one assist and one steal. Case Bruton had 10 points, three assists and four rebounds.

Despite slipping behind by seven in the first half, a Chambers shot for three followed by a dunk from Dalton Patchen put Concordia within four. The team stole enough momentum to enter the half ahead by three.

With the game tied at 40 a piece two and a half minutes in, an Eagle nine point run prompted by a few three-pointers from Chambers closed the game out. Although the Vulcans worked to recapture their lead, Concordia fought them off until the final buzzer.

Concordia plays its fourth consecutive road game on Jan. 14th in Riverside, Calif. against the CBU Lancers. Tip off is scheduled for 7:00 in the Van Dyne Gym.
