Box Score MERCED, Calif. -  The Concordia Men's Volleyball team continued its dominate play as they rolled over the UC Merced Bobcats 3-0 (25-16, 25-17, 25-21). The win brings the Eagles record to 11-7 overall, and the Bobcats drop to 0-4.

The Eagles were hot right from the start, jumping out to a 4-0 lead in the first set. UC Merced fought their way back and only trailed 10-9 in the middle of the set. Concordia was then able to pull away after getting a spark from their
tough serves. The Eagles finished the set with four service aces and won by a score of 25-16.

In the second, the Eagles offense proved to be too much for the Bobcats, as Concordia put down 15 kills at a hitting percentage of .440. CUI took the set 25-17 and went into the third with a 2-0 lead.

UC Merced was able to put some pressure on the Eagles in the third with a late comeback. Despite pulling within three, the Eagles stayed in the driver's seat and put their opponents away by a score of 25-21.

The Eagles well-rounded attack was led by Taylor Falduti, Ryan Anselmo, and Joseph Pillon, who all recorded eight kills on the night.

Hunter Howell came up with a match-high three services aces and Chandler Gibb ran a steady offense with 21 assists.

The Eagles return home for their Alumni game on Thursday, Feb. 16th at 6:00 PM. They will follow that up by hosting UC Merced on Feb. 25th at 4:00 PM. Live coverage can be found here: https://portal.stretchinternet.com/cui/
