Women's Lacrosse continued their strong start to the season en route to a 15-4 victory over Cal State Fullerton.  The Eagles scored the game's first 11 goals and coasted to an impressive win.

Victoria Peleras got the Eagles going early as she won the opening draw and eventually put away the opening goal less than two minutes into the contest.  Victoria would team up with fellow midfielder Stevie Siluano to win 88% of their draws in the game.  The Eagles quick start was fueled by early offense that saw them race out to an 11-2 halftime advantage and eventually a 15-4 win.  Standout performers on the offensive side were Peleras (5g), Siluano (4g), Celine Rios (3g, 1a) and Alexandra Kyte (2g, 4a).

While the first half showed flurries of Eagle goals the defense led the way in the second half, highlighted by Sabrina Manriquez (4 CTO, 5gb) and Grace Tom (7 saves).  Concordia held the Fullerton to their lowest output of the season as the Titans tallied 15 goals in their previous contest.   Freshman Midfielder Stevie Siluano was particularly impressed with the effort, saying, "I loved how well our team played defensively.  We really implemented everything we've been practicing on the defensive end and I believe it definitely showed out on the field today."

The Eagles seem to be firing on all cylinders as they head into a tough out of conference schedule this weekend out at the Santa Barbara Shootout.  The Eagles will face four ranked opponents including the defending national champion and preseason #1 Denver Pioneers.  When asked about the upcoming tournament, Senior Captain Emily Cabuling said, "I am most excited to see how we handle this challenge.  We have been preparing for this weekend for weeks.  We have the heart, determination and ambition to conquer the competition."  The Eagles kick off the weekend Friday against Utah State at 2:00pm.
