Davis Does it Again, Basketball Defeats Dominican

Box Score With only a few games left in his collegiate career at Concordia, senior
Justin Davis is making the most of every minute on the court.
Davis dominated against Dominican with 24 points to help the Eagles win 86-82. He hit 9-14 shots from the field and 6-8 for three. The lone senior was helped heavily by teammates
Brian Chambers and
Tad Dufelmeier.
Chambers tallied 24 points with two assists. He made 8-15 from the field and 4-6 from the three-point range. Dufelmeier posted 18 points on the night with six assists and five rebounds. Camerson English added nine points, hitting 3-3 shots from the field and 3-3 from the line.
Case Bruton banked eight points with two assists.
Davis got rolling early for the Eagles. He made his first three on is first attempt within 25 seconds. This catalyst sparked Concordia's 13-2 lead. The Eagle offense remained energized throughout the half, going up by 14 with nine minutes to play.Â
The Penguins pushed back, but the Eagles finished the first half how they started it – with points from Davis to secure a 41-34 lead entering the break.
In the second, the Eagles maintained rhythm and captured a 20 point lead with 13 to play.Â
Three minutes later, the Penguins applied pressure. With a score of 67-56, Dominican surged to an 11 point run before Chambers shut it down with a three-pointer.Â
The PacWest battle ensued the remainder of the game. Dominican nailed a three-point shot to get within one of the Eagle lead with just under a minute to play. English was then fouled and made two back-to-back clutch free throws to extend the lead to three. Chambers was sent to the line next and knocked down his two shots. Despite a Dominican three-pointer with 14 seconds on the clock, the Eagles held on to win.
Concordia is now 15-10 and 11-6 in the PacWest. With only three games left to play, Concordia's next opponent is Holy Names University. The game is atÂ
