The Men's Basketball Team put on a show in CU Arena in a flat out fight for a win against Cal Baptist University.

In front of a packed and passionate Concordia crowd, Davis and Lark's accomplishments were celebrated prior to the game. Although the pair lost out on the chance of competing in playoffs this year due to the transition to NCAA Div. 2, their final game as Eagles entertained and ignited every seat in the crowd.

Cal Baptist and the Eagles were evenly matched throughout the first half to keep the score tight. A Lancer run towards the end of the first gave them a five point lead going into the break. Despite having 20 minutes of the game gone, both teams were just getting warmed up.

Geoff Gerlach put up two layups at the start of the second to set the Eagles within three. Cal Baptist then built a nine point lead, but Tad Dufelmeier delivered with a three-pointer to keep the Eagles close. Davis and Brian Chambers chipped in a layup each to reduce the lead to four. The Eagles continued to trail by a slim margin until Davis nailed a three ball to tie the score at 48.

10 minutes later, the teams were still duking it out. Mike Mellinger made a deep shot to give Concordia a six point cushion, but the Lancers crept back to take a one point lead with under a minute to play. Even though the Eagles dropped the game 82-80 to the Lancers, the emotional play and thrilling performance left the crowd chanting C-U-I in celebration of the game, the team and the seniors.

Davis ends his career with 2,090 minutes played in Eagle uniform and 944 points. He accumulated 113 steals and 211 assists over his four year stretch. In his senior season, he averaged 13.3 points per game with a .400 three-point percentage. In his final game, he tied his career high for points with 26 to go along with four steals.

Larke averaged eight points per game and a.688 field goal percentage in his final season. He scored a career high nine points against BYU-Hawaii, highlighted by bench clearing three-pointers and a dunk.

The Eagles conclude the 2016-2017 season with a 17-11 overall and 13-7 PacWest record.
