Eagles Lose Battle to Brown

Women's Water Polo faced Brown University on Friday and dropped their third-straight game by a score of 14-8.

Shannon Graham scored the game's first goal, putting the Eagles up 1-0 in the first quarter. The Bears answered back with two goals before
Emily Varisco scored and tied the game up at two. Brown came back and scored three goals to end the first quarter with a 5-2 lead.

With 1:28 left in the second quarter,
Ramsie Haskell fired a shot into the goal for the Eagles' third of the game. The first half ended with Brown leading 9-3.

The Eagles struck first in the second half with a goal from Graham, her second of the game. She scored again with 40 seconds left in the third quarter and the Eagles trailed 12-5 after three quarters.

Graham continued to be the Concordia offensive spark as she scored her fourth goal of the game with 5:06 left in the game.Â
Lindsey Heaney added two goals of her own in the fourth quarter, but this was not enough to overcome Brown as the Bears took the game 14-8.

The Eagles have a few days off before returning to the pool on April 7 to take on Fresno Pacific.
