Concordia conquers Cal State Northridge 4-1

The Eagles took down the visiting Matadors of Cal State Northridge Wednesday, winning 4-1 at Irvine Valley College.
In the No. 1 match, the Eagles won in two sets with scores of 21-13 and 21-17. Game No. 2 was a closer contest that was decided in three sets. The Eagles fell behind and lost set one (13-21) but came back to win 22-20 and 15-13. The only match Concordia dropped was No. 3 in another tight three set battle (21-12, 24-26, 13-15). In the No. 4 matchup, CUI won two straight sets 21-13 and 21-15. To wrap up the day, the Eagles won the final match with back to back scores of 21-17.
Concordia remains undefeated in the 2017 season and returns to action Tuesday, March 21 at the Long Beach State Sand Courts. They will face Long Beach State and Colorado-Mesa beginning at 11:30 a.m.
