Women’s Water Polo Celebrates Senior

The Eagles played their final home game of the season on Wednesday against Santa Clara University. They celebrated the lone senior on the team,
Emily Varisco.
Lindsey Heaney scored the Eagles first goal in the first quarter with 2:36 left. Concordia trailed 5-1 at the end of the quarter.
Varsico scored the first Eagle goal in the second quarter to cut the deficit to 5-2. The Santa Clara offense dominated the rest of the half, as the Eagles were only able to score one more thanks to
Elena Isogawa.
Trailing 10-3 at the beginning of the half, the Eagles struck for four in the third quarter.
Hanna Jordan,
Kelley Geurts,
Ramsie Haskell, and
Jastine Vazquez all scored.
Jordan scored the lone goal in the final quarter as the Eagles dropped the game 14-8.
April 13 : CUI- 7 SDSU- 13
Trailing 4-0 after the first quarter in San Diego, the Eagles struck first in the second quarter with a goal from Varisco. Two more, one each from
Shannon Graham and Jordan, brought the Eagles within one. The first half ended with Concordia trailing 5-3.
Concordia struck first again to start the third quarter. Guerts scored with 7:00 left to narrow the SDSU lead to 5-4. The Eagles scored three in the fourth quarter with goals from Jordan, Graham and Isogawa.
The Eagles dropped the match 13-7.
Concordia takes on California Baptist on Thursday in Riverside at 7 p.m.
