In the Eagles' 12-10 win over Santa Clara on Saturday, their six goals in the second period helped push Concordia to a road victory.
Messan Moore struck first for Concordia with 4:19 on the clock. The Eagles allowed two goals to go down 2-1 in the first.
Dan Maleski,
Jake Snyder,
Patrick Zsiros and
Spencer Hosch combined for six goals in the second quarter to comeback and go ahead 7-4.
Cristiano Tomassetti tallied two assists.
In the third, Santa Clara and the Eagles posted three goals apiece. During the final period of play,
Angel Rojas and
John Roberts added goals to hold off Santa Clara and claim the 12-10 win.
Hosch led the Eagles with four goals and Snyder added three.
Alfredo De La Mora had 13 saves and one steal.
Concordia is now 7-5 and 1-2 in conference competition. The Eagles return to play Saturday at the Gary Troyer Tournament in Claremont, Calif.
