Concordia's Beach Volleyball team goes 2-1 today in El Cajon, CA.

The Eagles started off the day against Grossmont, falling short 2-3. The top flight of
Tristan Self and
Vanessa Bernzen swept Felicia Marshall and Khalia Jordan 21-10 and 21-17. At No. 2 flight,
Avery Keathley and
Riley Gill played against Fia Faa'agi and Tina Barrameda taking them to three sets, but ultimately losing with scores 23-21, 9-21, 4-15.
Marcela Frazzoni and
Kyra Auten lost in two sets against Desi Elizondo and Makayla Tam, 15-21, 18-21. At No. 4 flight,
Jessica Diederich and
Asia O'Neil fell short in two sets, 20-22 and 17-21. In the last flight,
Kersti Whitney and
Hailey Gaines defeated Jamie Sakesegawa and Jen Orbita in two straight sets with scores 22-20 and 21-15.

Next, Concordia faced San Diego Mesa winning with a score of 4-1. The top flight for the Eagles came out battling against their opponents, ultimately losing in three sets, 21-19, 19-21, and 13-15. The No. 2 flight came out and defeated in two sets, 21-16, 21-18. The last three flights had no problem sweeping their opponents in two sets.

Lastly, the Eagles faced off against Colorado Mesa, again coming out with a 4-1 victory. The top flight swept with scores 21-19. The No. 2 flight swept again with scores 21-12, 21-19. The No. 3 flight lost in a three set match 15-21, 21-15, and 14-16. The last two flights finished the day with a two set victory for both.

rd in Irvine against Irvine Valley College, Nebraska, and Long Beach State starting at 10:00AM.
