Facing #1 USC on the road, the Concordia men's water polo team gained some valuable experience as they matched up with one of the best teams on the west coast.

Messan Moore scored three times and Eagle of the Week Patrik Zsiros added two more goals for the Eagles in a 32-7 defeat.

Marius Jakimcikas and Gibson Gerace also scored once.

CUI will get another crack at the Trojans this weekend.

Coach Dreason Barry's team will play four matches at the Inland Empire Classic starting Saturday.

The Eagles will face Claremont-Mudd-Scripps at 9 a.m. followed by the University of Redlands at 1:20 p.m.

On Sunday, CUI gets a rematch with USC at 10:20 a.m. and then faces UC Santa Barbara at 1:20 p.m.
