The Eagles only played eight players due to various injuries. Â
Denzel Holt and
Shane Walker each played eight minutes and collectively corralled five rebounds to help the cause.
"Notre Dame is a dangerous team and they really battled us today," said CUI head coach
Ken Ammann. "With all the difficult challenges we've faced recently with injuries I was extremely proud of our entire team today. We really had to work hard to get stops and execute with lineups we've not ever used this season."
The next challenge for the Green and Gold comes this Tuesday, Feb. 12 in the rematch of the Eagles. Concordia visits Biola University on Tuesday as part of a doubleheader with the women's squads. The women begin at 5:30 p.m. with the men set to tip at 7:30.
