AZUSA, Calif. -- Under the lights at Cougar Baseball Complex, Concordia Baseball competed in the second of a four game non-conference series with Azusa Pacific. The Cougars took the first game but the Eagles looked to bounce back on Friday. Similar to game one, Concordia took an early lead but was unable to produce runs offensively for the remainder of the game for a 9-1 loss.
Senior pitcher Andrew Stout headed to the hill for game two. The right-hander threw 4.2 innings, allowed nine hits, and struck out two Cougars. In relief, Jack Ruegge pitched 3.1 innings and allowed five hits and two earned runs.
Tony Garcia III smacked a solo home run in the second inning, the team's only run of the game. Haloa Dudoit and Shane Hersh both went 2-for-3 with a walk and two singles. Matt Lautz went 2-for-4 and Cooper Moore had a hit of his own to round out the Eagles hit total at eight.
