IRVINE, Calif - After seven months of anticipation for the 2020 beach volleyball season, the Concordia Eagles are ready to get back on the sand for first serve.

The Green and Gold return a handful of its roster from last season, including the senior duo of
Avery Keathley and
Asia O'Neil. Both players started every dual at almost every flight which contributed to the depth of the Eagles team.

Other members such as
Vanessa Bernzen,
Kya Bock,
Maddy Clark,
Hailee Ryan, and
Veronica Wood all contributed last season as well and return for action

There will be a group of nine new faces that will hit the sand in a Concordia uniform as well, which includes seven transfers.Â

Latest additions to the team are graduate student D1 transfer
Alexis Dirige, who was an All-Pac 12 performer from the Washington State indoor team, and
Ellie Cary, a junior from Cabrillo College.

Previously announced, the five other transfers include juniors
Mia Corippo (Fresno City),
Nickie Hughes (Saddleback),
Marina Pilkington (Cypress),
Jamie Sakasegawa (Grossmont), and sophomore
Shannon Evans (MiraCosta).

The team features one freshman in
Natalie Coday out of Bakersfield, Calif., and an indoor crossover in
Cambria Fernandez.

2020 Schedule: Concordia is set to play a 25 game schedule which includes eight Division I match-ups. 14 of the games will be played on the Eagles home courts located at the Great Park in Irvine.

The first two home games take place this Friday, February 21st at 10 AM and 12:30 PM against Cypress College and The Master's College.
