**Note: This story was updated on Monday, Jan. 25 to include the new adjustment that all PacWest men's basketball games will now start a half hour earlier at 4:30 p.m. beginning with this week's APU vs. CUI contests on Friday, Jan. 29 and Saturday, Jan. 30.**

IRVINE, Calif. - Concordia University Irvine and Azusa Pacific have agreed to multiple schedule changes for their upcoming women's and men's basketball doubleheaders.

Concordia will now host Azusa Pacific on Friday, Jan. 29 for a doubleheader in CU Arena. The Cougars will now host CUI on Saturday, Jan 30.  All game times for the women will remain the same with them playing at 2 p.m. The men will now be playing all of their PacWest conference games at 4:30 p.m. which pushes the game time up 30 minutes. The PacWest made this decision on Monday, Jan. 25 to decrease down time between doubleheaders this season.

In addition, to help balance out the conference schedule, both schools have agreed to also flip who hosts their future doubleheader in February.  APU will now host the Eagles on Friday, Feb.19 and CUI will now host on Saturday. Feb. 20.

The decisions were made in the best interest of the student-athletes and to help avoid any potential scheduling conflicts with other sports.

Fans are not allowed to attend games at this time due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols. CUI plans to provide free live stats and video live streaming during all home basketball games so fans can still follow the action. You can also follow our CUI Athletics main Twitter account for live updates at @cuieagles as well.

Both CUI basketball teams are scheduled to open PacWest Conference play this coming weekend against Point Loma before battling APU next week.  Point Loma hosts both CUI basketball squads on Friday, Jan. 22 before the Eagles host the Sea Lions on Saturday, Jan 23.

Again all start times for all league games are at 2 p.m. for the women followed by the men's contests which are slated to start at 4:30 p.m.
