RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – The CUI men's water polo team split their two games in the Lancer Joust hosted by CBU on Saturday, defeating Westcliff in the morning while falling to Pepperdine in the afternoon.
CUI 11, Westcliff 9
Callin Chimilar led the offense in the team's first game of the day, scoring four goals.
Shaine Sargis and
Jacob Stuart each scored two goals of their own, contributing to the Eagles' 11 total goals in the game.
Austin Wade also scored once with a team-leading three assists en route to the win.
Pepperdine 19, CUI 5
The Eagles fell short in their second game of the day, netting only five of the 24 shots taken in Game 2. Five different Eagles each scored a single goal.
Andrew Dimino continued to dominate on the sprints, going a perfect 7-0 on the day.
The men's water polo team returns to action in Colorado Springs, Colo. next Saturday, October 16th in a WWPA matchup against Air Force. Their next home game will be against LMU on Wednesday, October 20 back at Woollett Aquatics Center.
