Chimilar Nets Game-Winning Goal in Final Second

DAVIS, Calif. – The CUI Men's Water Polo team concluded the 2021 season on Saturday, splitting their two games in the WWPA Championships consolation bracket against Fresno Pacific and Biola.
 
Game 1: FPU 11, CUI 9
 
Despite outshooting the Sunbirds 28-26, the Green & Gold were unable to walk away with the win.
 
Andrew Dimino continued his dominance on sprints, winning all three that he competed in. Dimino, along with Jeff Runyan and Callin Chimilar, each netted two goals in the game. Jacob Stuart, an All-WWPA Freshman Team selection, led the team in scoring with three goals of his own.
 
Game 2: CUI 10, BU 9
 
Eagles pulled off an impressive comeback in the final seconds of the game, thanks to Callin Chimilar who scored his fifth goal of the game with one second remaining in the 4th quarter. Harry Nixon and Runyan also scored two goals in the game.


Hunter Osgood also recorded 14 saves in net with two steals.
 
The Eagles conclude the 2021 season with a 9-17 record while finishing 7th in the WWPA.
