IRVINE, Calif. – The CUI men's basketball team won Friday's matchup against Bethesda University by a score of 74-63. Four different Eagles scored at least 10 points in the win, including
Wayne Arnold tying his season-high with 32 points.
Kayle Knuckles (12 points),
Joshua Caston (11 points), and
Rodrick McCobb (10 points) each contributed with double-digit performances. Arnold led the offense, shooting 42 percent from the floor and 31 percent from beyond the arc. He also shot a perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line, while leading the Green & Gold with seven rebounds in the game.
The Eagles forced 19 turnovers on the afternoon resulting in eight steals. Caston recorded a season-best four steals, all in the first half.
The Eagles open up PacWest play in Hawaii next week against Hawaii Pacific on Monday, Nov. 29, followed by Chaminade on Wednesday, Dec. 1, and Hawaii Hilo on Friday, Dec. 3.
