IRVINE, Calif. - The Concordia Eagles had a rare opportunity Thursday night as they had the chance to play a ranked team in a night game.
Visiting the No. 18 CBU Lancers, the Eagles were able to break through on offense when
Jacob Stuart,
Xander Luckett and
Harry Nixon each scored a goal in the second period to get the Eagles on track.
Jeff Runyan helped the cause with three goals in the third period as well. Nixon actually tallied two more scores in the fourth quarter to bring his total to three before the final buzzer as well.
CUI goalie
Hunter Osgood collected nine saves on the evening in the cage. However, CBU got into a groove and pulled away for a 22-8 win.
The Eagles are back in action on Senior Day this Saturday, Nov. 6 at 2 p.m. This game will be played against Fresno Pacific over at Beckman High School (not Woollett Aquatics Center) as the Eagles look to earn their second victory in league play and send senior
Christian Bowley out on a high note.
