MONTECITO, Calif. - The No. 14 ranked CUI men's tennis team traveled down to the Warriors of Westmont College for their first match since March 11, 2020. 
 
The Eagles won the match 6-1 but did not count it on the record column as the competition served as a friendly exhibition for both squads.
 
The Green and Gold had returners Yassine Smiej, Patrick Wong, Jan Simon, and Giuliano Maderner pick up wins in the single matches alongside newcomer Sofian Taybeu Alaoui.
 
In the double's competitions CUI earned some points with victories in two pairs: Smiej + Mike Jansen and Simon + Wong.
 
The Concordia men's tennis team is currently ranked No. 14 in the nation and have shown signs of improving that mark in their play.
 
Including the 2020 season the men's tennis team has picked up five straight victories and are eager to start the regular season to build on the winning streak and eventually move up the national rankings.
