LAS VEGAS, Nev. -  On Saturday, No. 11 Concordia University Irvine and No. 10 Oklahoma Christain returned to Faith Lutheran High School to continue their three-game series with a doubleheader.  CUI won the series opener resulting in a 9-4 win on Friday, and the Green and Gold picked up where they left off.
 
In the first game Saturday, Rae Flores got the start and the win for the CUI.  Kelsea Sweeney came in for two innings and then was replaced by Callie Nunes who was awarded with a save for the game. Previously, Nunes was tied for the most career saves with alumni Natalie Brown. Saturday's save gave Nunes nine in her career, moving Nunes up to the sole most saves pitcher.
 
CUI played an all-around solid game. They scored continuously throughout the game and held Oklahoma Christian to just four runs.  Missy Nemeth and Sydney Sprinkle both had two-run homers to lead the offense. Sprinkle was on fire this game, collecting three hits out of four at-bats.
 
The second game was a hard-fought battle that resulted in a Oklahoma Christian 2-1 win. CUI held OC until the fifth inning where they scored one run and then again in the seventh where they were able to get one more run across.
 
In the bottom of the seventh, Concordia put pressure on OC by loading the bases, resulting in one run scored by Megan Massa. CUI was unable to bring in any more runs and ended the game down by one run.
