IRVINE, Calif. - The Concordia University Irvine women's volleyball team now has its first match scheduled for the spring semester of 2021.
On Monday, CUI announced that the Eagles will welcome the University of Alaska Fairbanks to Irvine on Tuesday, March 9. The non-conference match is slated to start at 7 p.m. in CU Arena.
This will mark both the first home game and first contest of any kind for the CUI women's volleyball program since the fall of 2019.
Fans are not allowed to attend the game due to COVID-19 health and safety protocols, but a video live stream broadcast and live stats will be provided for free so fans of both the Eagles and Nanooks can follow the action.
The Eagles won 18 games under head coach
Paula Weishoff last season, who has earned more than 300 career victories during her time on the sidelines. Meanwhile, the Nanooks went 15-13 last season. Both teams won five of their last seven matches down the stretch.
