IRVINE, Calif. – The Eagles fall short to DI UC Riverside with a final score of 0-4.
The men's tennis team is back after a couple weeks of no competition! The Green and Gold went up against a tough match up today as they faced the Division I Highlanders.
Patrick Wong put a tough battle in the No. 2 singles spot as he was tied 5-5 in the second set and they did not finish their match.
Benjamin Buck was also putting up a fight in the No. 4 singles position as he also went unfinished but was tied up 3-3 in the second set.
Yassine Smiej who has been performing super sound matches this season at the No. 1 singles position held it down again. Winning the first set 7-5 he held the advantage. He then fell short in the second set but was winning 3-0 in the third set and was on his way to a win when they had to stop at unfinished.
