SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Eagles continued their momentum to move 4-0 at the start of the season after winning two games on Friday. The Eagles dominated as they beat the host team San Jose State 5-0 and competed against Utah winning in a nail biter of 3-2.
 
The Green and Gold took control in the first match of the day against San Jose State not allowing them to win a game. The Spartans challenged the Eagles in the first flight and took them to three sets. The Eagles were able to secure the win with a close score 15-12. The other flights were able to finish in just to sets and secure a sweep over San Jose State.
 
The second match of the day against Utah was a challenge for the Eagles but were able to prevail with a close win 3-2. The first three slots were able to beat out the Utes in just two sets while slots four and five went the distance going to three. Utah finished out the three set matches only winning by two points each.

The Eagles will finish the road trip Saturday, Feb. 26 against Ottawa Arizona and Santa Clara at 9 a.m. and 12 p.m. CUI will be back on their home turf at the Great Park on Saturday, Mar. 5 against Cal State LA and Pepperdine at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
