SAN JOSE, Calif. – The Eagles finished the road trip to San Jose, Calif. on Saturday after taking another two wins and advancing to 6-0 at the start of the season. CUI beach volleyball beat Ottawa Arizona 4-1 and Santa Clara by a nail biter with a close score 3-2.
 
After the Spirit won one of the games in the first match-up of the day, the Eagles came to win the next four in a row and taking the win over Ottawa. All slots were finished and the ones in favor of the Green and Gold came in dominating fashion. Ryan and Ostojic in the second flight held their opponents to under 10 points in each set.
 
The second dual was a secured win for CUI after the second slot by Ryan and Ostojic were able to hold their opponents in two sets and close out with only 12 points in the second. In the third flight, Evans and Smith were taken to three sets and were able to defeat Santa Clara with a close score 15-12. Miller and Clifton played hard keeping up with the Broncos but ultimately fell short with scores 22-24 and 19-21.

The Eagles look ahead to be back at the Great Park on Saturday, Mar. 5 against Cal State LA and Pepperdine with slated times at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m.
