SAN RAFAEL, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine women's basketball team earned their fifth win in their last six games on Friday afternoon, moving into third place in the PacWest standings with a 12-7 (9-4) record.
Sophomore
Samantha Fries earned her second consecutive double-double, recording 13 points with a season-high 12 rebounds. Her 13 points is second only to her performance earlier this week, in which she recorded 14 points with a double-double at Biola.
Jasmine Rachal put up a team-leading 21 points in the game against the Penguins while also recording three steals and two assists. That is the seventh time Rachal has scored 20+ points this season, while she also averaging 17.2 points per game on the year.
Three Eagles scored double-digit points in win, including Rachal, Fries, and
Kendall Jackson (10).
Concordia returns to action on Sunday, Feb. 6
th, at 1:30 PM at Academy of Art. Their next home game will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 9
