IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine beach volleyball team continue to impress as they defeated Utah for the second time this season. The Eagles improve to 18-3 on the season and extends their win streak.
CUI started the day off playing in an exhibition match against Irvine Valley College in the morning who was the host on Friday.
The Eagles played against Utah earlier in the season and beat them by a close 3-2. This go around was no different as CUI made a couple changes and were able to beat the Utes again and earning another match win to finish with a 4-1 score.
The first four flights were able to secure wins in just two sets but did not come easily to each. The second flight with Ostojic and Ryan was a battle against the Utes as they only won by two points in each set while going the distance past 21 points. The fifth slot was another battle by Clifton and Miller as they took their opponents beyond 21 points as well and secured the only win for Utah.

The Eagles will finish their season at the Great Park in Irvine, Calif. on Tuesday, Apr. 5 as they take on Fullerton College in an exhibition match and Marymount to follow. The start times are slated for 9 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Senior day will follow Saturday, Apr. 9 at 10 a.m. as they play against each other for a CUI scrimmage.
