SURPRISE, Ariz. - The CUI junior duo of Alyssa Zayat and Kimia Rahmani won their doubles match 6 sets to 1 at the PacWest Conference Championships.

However, Hawai'i Hilo was able to outlast CUI to secure the doubles point and ultimately advanced into the quarterfinals with a 4-1 victory.

Freshman Maya Arksey did not show any signs of this being her first conference tournament match. Arksey defeated Hilo's Sandra Dafincescu 6- 3 and 6-1, giving the Eagles their first point of the day in straight sets.

CUI will aim to finish the season on a high note when they face Colorado Mesa in the consolation round on Thursday beginning at 5 p.m.
