SURPRISE, Ariz. -  Leon Czarnikau has had a strong final season with CUI and it showed with him receiving Third Team All-PacWest honors from the league.

The Germany native was a graduate student this year for the Eagles.  He routinely competed and thrived at the No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles spots this season.

CUI dropped its quarterfinal match to Hawai'i Hilo 4 sets to 0 on Thursday in Arizona. Senior Jan Simon and junior Mike Jansen won their doubles match 6 set to 4, but the Vulcans ended up taking the doubles point.

CUI will face Fresno Pacific on Friday morning in the consolation bracket for a chance to advance to the fifth place game which will be held Saturday.
