IRVINE, Calif. – The Concordia University Irvine men's volleyball team close out a four game week with another matchup against UC Irvine. The Anteaters took the first match Friday and the Golden Eagles are looking to tie the series. The Anteaters won in three as they took control of the match early.
Liam Roberts made his season debut with four kills while playing in all three sets.
Johnny Anselmo collected six for the Green and Gold and had three digs.
Slater Fuhrman landed a pair of aces in the first two sets and led the team with five digs.
Middles
Maxwell McCullough and
Gil Herold led the Golden Eagles offensively as they grabbed seven and four kills along the way and both hitting above .330.
Setter
Nathan Biteau had 22 assists along with four digs while
Jacob Reilly wore the libero jersey and added three.
The Golden Eagles will be back in action on Saturday, Jan. 21 as they take on No. 11 Loyola Chicago in the CU Arena.
